Ensenada, Mexico (November 16th to 20th) – With just a few short weeks left until race day, the entire Slightly Bent Racing family is excited to announce a partnership with Pirruñas Racing for this year’s SCORE Baja 1000 race.
Riders from both teams will tackle the near 1000-mile course this November in an effort to conquer the elements and bring home a victory.
Based out of Yuma, AZ the Pirruñas team have a deep history of desert racing with multiple victories on both sides of the border – including a win at last year’s Baja 1000 and a 2015 SCORE International championship.
Although SBR riders Rusty Repass and Daniel Webb are no strangers to Baja, they have spent most of their racing careers competing in cross-country (XC) events along the east coast of the U.S. Training is in full swing and they fully embrace the challenges that lie ahead in the Baja desert
While there are many obvious differences between XC and desert racing – terrain, bike setup, and riding style are a few of the big ones – we are very optimistic to have the opportunity to create a well-rounded group of riders for this event.
