Tell us a little bit about yourself. I am a four time national MX and TT champion and the 2014 GNCC Silver Master 55+ champion. I was a factory team rider from 1990-1994 for Duncan racing, winning championships in both West Virginia XC and Virginia XC, along with a Virginia ATV Olympics championship. Along with these exciting achievements, I have appeared in such magazines as, Dirt Wheels and 3&4 Wheel Action. In 2004 I was a Factory Suzuki supported TT rider and in 2010 clinched the B class championship at the Thrills in the Hills. I currently reside in Beckley, WV with my lovely wife Lynda. I have a daughter, 3 granddaughters, and I am also the parts manager at United Cycle in Beckley.
What is your favorite part of riding a quad? I would have to say riding in mud. I really enjoy it when the course gets muddy.
How did you get started in the sport? My first time out was a local race. After winning the race that day, I was hooked!
What are your long term racing goals? To win another class championship in GNCC.
What is your biggest ambition? I would like to continue racing ATV’s as long as my body will allow me to.
How did you get involved with the team? It’s actually pretty simple. At the beginning of the 2013 season I ended up parking next to one of the SBR trailers. I knew a couple of the guys from my home state of West Virginia. Fast forward a few months and here we are. I really admired the way the team helps each other out and I couldn’t ask for a better group of people to call teammates!
